She was Great Y'ALL ♥

Back at the end of September my mom and I had the pleasure of being in the presence of the one and only, Queen of the South, Paula Deen. We attended the Houston Metro Cooking and Entertaining Show. We had great seats on the floor, and we just laughed until we cried. She is everything you imagine her to be, especially when she is free from not concentrating on cooking. She actually didn't cook a thing, her hubby, Michael and an assistant did the cooking while she entertained us! We had such a great time and of course there was some great shopping at the show also. It was the perfect girls day!

5 Blessed Years

Well now I have gotten myself into a position that I am going to have to catch up on Fall stuff too! I am going to start off with a very important and exciting milestone we just reached. On October 21, John and I celebrated 5 extremely blessed years of marriage!

In the last 5 years we have grown from being two crazy in love young people who weren't sure exactly what the future held to two crazy in love parents who cannot contain all that God is pouring out for us. We see an exciting future in ministry and things God has in store that we could have never imagined! We are so thankful for the plan that He has for us and what a blessed life we live! I pray that every day our hearts continue to be so hungry for Him, His people and His work! We seem so little in this scheme, but we have such big jobs to do... and we are so excited and on fire to do them!

Our schedule didn't work out quite like we had hoped for the week of our anniversary, so we only got to have a quick little getaway to celebrate! We also had to be back for my precious nephew's 2nd birthday bash and so we just stayed downtown by the Galleria and enjoyed some time just the two of us! We are lucky to live in a city we love, so even our little getaways are simply perfect. We love staying by the Galleria... it makes it really easy to relax yet still shop and do all that we want to do in a short amount of time. We took our R&R pretty serious on this stay; we stayed in our room and rented movies and just spent some peace and quiet time together for the majority of our stay. We snuck in some shopping and delicious food, and our tradition of getting cheesecake from the Cheescake Factory and taking it back to our room! But our number one goal was to just chill... and we completely achieved that... and it was PERFECT!

I have said it 982, 467, 582 times and I will continue to say it every day of my life. God blessed me with the absolute best man in the world. And he is continuing to grow into the most incredible man of God, husband and daddy. I could not be more proud and more excited that he is mine! I love you so much John Sheffield, and every day I wake up beside you is the best day of my life ♥

Sweet Summer Time

Yes. It is October 19th and I am posting about summer. As Fall and the Holidays approach, I am realizing that I will have so many memories to record and I slacked so much this summer that I practically skipped a whole season. So, now I am playing catch up! I have to be ready for all the Holiday cuteness coming our way!
